5th nanoElectronics & Photonics Forum Conference
July 14, 2005
8:30 a.m. - 6:30 pm.

The potential promise of nanotechnology, however, is not just to enable new types of processes and products at lower cost, but also to improve the nature of how these products are made and applied, with the end result being less toxic, more sustainable, efficient, and "environmentally friendly" industrial and consumer practices. In the context of nano electronics and photonics related research, developments, and ventures, the intersection with emergent "cleantech" topics of interest include: Just as needed" / on demand manufacturing practices, renewable / alternative energy platforms, efficiency / recapture of waste energy, materials, and non / less toxic alternatives to current materials and processes.
