Metal Oxide Nanoarchitectures for Environmental Sensing

This is an abstract for a presentation given at the
10th Foresight Conference on Molecular Nanotechnology


This work presents several routes for fabrication of novel metal-oxide thin films, of controllable architectures spanning the nano to micro-dimensional scales, for application to environmental sensing. The fabrication routes are flexible, enabling realization of desired platform chemistries, topologies, and electrical properties. Beyond use in sensors, such control over nanoscale topologies can prove advantageous for other applications including tissue engineering and biomolecular separation/filtration.
