Steve Fowkes

Steven Fowkes is an American organic chemist, author, and long-time researcher in cognitive enhancement, neurogenesis, and metabolic health.

For decades, he has explored practical applications of nutritional science and biochemistry related to aging, Alzheimer’s disease, mitochondrial function, and metabolic disorders. He serves as Executive Director of the Cognitive Enhancement Research Institute (CERI) and is the owner of Nanopolymer Systems.

Fowkes is also known for his work in the early smart-drugs movement and co-authored Smart Drugs & Nutrients, which helped bring wider attention to cognitive enhancement and neuroprotection. He has shared his research and perspectives through scientific panels, technology conferences, interviews, and biohacking communities, with a particular focus on brain health, metabolism, and strategies for maintaining cognitive function.
