Sebastian Eriksson Giwa

Founder of Sylvatica Biotech, Ossium Health, Elevian Inc , Expanse Bio and the Organ Preservation Alliance. Companies I have founded have raised triple digit millions of dollars from VC, gotten FDA go-aheads and been featured as an NIH Success Story.

Prior experience includes investing and research at world leading hedge fund, Bridgewater Associates, and consulting and research at Bain and Goldman Sachs.

I have spoken widely on regenerative medicine, including twice at the White House and once on Capitol Hill, published in leading journals with some of the top scientists and physicians of our time (e.g. www.nature.com/articles/nbt.3889.pdf) and our work has been featured in for instance Scientific American, The Economist, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), WIRED, The Atlantic and Forbes.

I hold a PhD in Economics (conducted at SSE and Harvard) and an MBA from Harvard where I graduated with High Distinction and was named a Baker Scholar (as one of only 20 black students at that point since the award’s inceptions in the 1930’s).

Foundational experience also includes serving two terms as the President of the Swedish Association of Youth Councils (www.svea.org) and two terms as the President of the National Youth Council of Sweden (www.lsu.se) working on democracy, poverty reduction, education and e.g. directly lobbying the Prime-Minister, EU Commissioners and the UN Secretary General.
