Jean Cruz
I am the Co-Founder and Global Managing Partner at AGM International Group, where I lead efforts to deliver transformative solutions in R&D, next-generation technologies, and data analytics within the life sciences and private equity sectors. Leveraging a unique blend of scientific, clinical, and healthcare systems expertise, I partner with global private equity funds, Fortune 500 companies, and healthcare organizations to craft innovative strategies that drive sustainable growth and accelerate breakthroughs in the biopharma and med-tech industries.
Prior to AGM, I was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, advising leading organizations on their most complex challenges and opportunities. My work included designing investment frameworks and executing rigorous pre- and post-investment strategies for private equity clients, as well as formulating cutting-edge R&D and therapeutic innovation strategies in neurodegenerative diseases, oncology, and immunology. I have guided clients in developing omnichannel marketing approaches for pharmaceutical product launches, integrating advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to achieve exponential revenue growth. Additionally, I led large-scale organizational transformation initiatives, establishing adaptive and future-ready business models in high-pressure markets.
Academically, I hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Cornell University and completed postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, where I advanced the fields of optical imaging, neuro-immunology, and molecular diagnostics. My research focused on pioneering imaging modalities and molecular tools to uncover mechanisms of disease pathogenesis and develop state-of-the-art treatments for neurodegeneration, aging, cancer, and autoimmune disorders. Supported by funding from DARPA, NIH, NSF, and the Sloan Foundation, my work has contributed to the development of precision medicine and targeted therapies. I am an inventor on multiple patents and have published in high-impact journals, including Nature.
With a passion for the intersection of science, technology, and strategy, I strive to empower organizations to unlock their full potential and achieve meaningful impact. My mission is to drive innovation that not only advances healthcare but also creates enduring value for patients, businesses, and society at large.
