Kathryn Shelley

I completed my PhD in protein design in Dek Woolfson’s lab at the University of Bristol, during which I contributed to the design of a differential biosensor to measure unique “fingerprints” of complex mixtures – such as blood samples – and identify common features between samples taken e.g. from patients with a particular illness. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in David Baker’s lab at the University of Washington, where I am designing light-driven protein motor domains.
