Mateo Petel

Mateo H. Petel is an AI research scientist at Stanford University focused on verifiable, safe AI for science. He led projects across Google DeepMind, Stanford Medicine, OpenAI and NASA JPL. He helps steer the Center for Strategic Research in Critical Technologies (CSRCT) and contributes to the UN commission on Neuroscience & AI governance. He holds degrees from Stanford University, École Normale Supérieure, and Paris-Dauphine University.
