Alex Newman

Alex co-founded hCaptcha/Intuition Machines, a distributed ML labeling and security platform used by billions. He previously co-founded Ohmdata, a distributed database company acquired by WANdisco. His current focus is on training ML models, proof of humanity, and ML training labor issues. He has a background in computer security, co-authored CLASP (now OWASP), and was a multiple-time winner at DEFCON’s Capture the Flag. With 20 years in open-source contributions, he has worked on projects like Linux and FreeBSD and is an Apache Committer.
