Evan Miyazono

In 2023, Evan co-founded Atlas Computing as a nonprofit focused on an AI architecture that allows transparent human governance over AI (instead of today’s monolithic language models). Previously Evan was at Protocol Labs, where he created the research grants program and led PL Research (home of the company’s metascience efforts) and Network Goods (a special projects studio focused on revolutionary coordination systems). The metascience efforts included incubating/supporting Discourse Graphs, and the Network Goods created hypercerts, Funding the Commons (conference series), The Open Impact Foundation, Open Source Observer, and gov4git. Prior to that, he earned his PhD in Applied Physics from Caltech, as well as a MS and BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford.
