Chase Denecke

I’m currently CEO of Bootstrap Bio, a biotech startup working on multiplex gene therapy.

Prior to that I founded a company I worked on briefly named Baby Steps IVF, an advisory company that informed patients which IVF clinics they should go to to maximize their odds of having a child. I’ve since handed off the company to a few friends of mine who are working on commercializing the idea.

From 2022 to 2023 I worked as a technical writer and a product manager at BlockApps, a blockchain company focused on selling real-world assets on the blockchain.

From 2021 to 2022 I worked at Genomic Prediction, a preimplantation genetic testing company that was the first in the world to offer polygenic embryo screening. While there I hired and ran the team that collected data on the impact of diseases on health, which was used to make decisions about which embryo to implant. I also did a variety of other work including web development, backend engineering work, DNS management, web page design, and a variety of other odd tasks typical at a startup. I also served on the hiring team, reviewing candidates for various software positions.

From 2019 to2021 I worked at Siemens Digital Industries as a full stack web developer using React, Node and a decent bit of Python, all running on AWS services which I often helped set up.
