David Friedman

David D. Friedman is an American economist, physicist, legal scholar, and leading anarcho-capitalist theorist. The son of Nobel laureate Milton Friedman, he is best known for his 1973 book The Machinery of Freedom, which argues for a society where all public services are replaced by the free market. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Chicago and spent his career teaching law and economics, primarily at Santa Clara University. Beyond academia, he is also a fantasy novelist and a well-known medieval reenactor.
