Felix Faber

In my current role as an Associate Principal Insight Analyst at AstraZeneca, I support projects with data-driven tools and predictive models for chemical reactivity.

Previously I held a Postdoctoral position at the University of Cambridge, funded by an SNSF fellowship grant. My work there involved adapting models and representations initially designed for learning force fields to predict chemical reactivity aspects in collaboration with researchers at Pfizer.

In my Ph.D. studies at the University of Basel, I investigated and developed machine learning models for predicting the quantum-chemical properties of molecules and materials. This included a collaboration with researchers from Google Accelerated Science, DeepMind and Google brain where we compared the performance of various machine learning models in chemical property prediction.

I did my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in physics at Linköping University. My diploma work included the study of the chaotic behaviors of nonlinear waveguide arrays, and development of machine learning models for crystalline solids.
