Malcolm Murray is an AI risk management expert.

As Chapter Lead for the International AI Safety Report, he is a core part of the team leading the work of 100 global AI experts in producing the authoritative report on AI capabilities and risks.
As Research Lead at SaferAI, he provides policy recommendations and risk management tools to leading AI companies and governments.
As a Superforecaster with Good Judgment, he forecasts the effects of AI on the economy and society.

He is a Research Affiliate with the Centre for the Governance of AI, and was formerly Managing Vice President, Fellow and Chief of Research for Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit at Gartner, leading research on how the world’s leading organizations can achieve risk-balanced growth.

He has two decades of experience leading research teams and projects, and advising corporate executives and government ministers, including the CEO of Reuters and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, on risk and strategy. He is a Mensa member and a Certified Blue Ocean Strategy Consultant. He speaks Swedish, English, French and German. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, an M.Sc. from the Stockholm School of Economics, a Masters in International Management from HEC, Paris, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
