Mark Lutter
I am the Founder and Executive Director of the Charter Cities Institute, a non-profit building the ecosystem for charter cities. I have a PhD in economics from George Mason University where his research focused on charter cities. I have been published or quoted in publications including the New Yorker, Financial Times, Atlantic, and more.
Charter cities are new cities with better laws. They are an important tool to help improve governance in the 21st century. I have worked on charter cities around the world in a variety of capacity, including fundraising, strategy, government engagement, planning, and development.
