Michaela Hinks

Michaela is Head of Science at Edison. She has extensive experience leveraging synthetic biology and genomics technologies to make discoveries in gene regulation. During her PhD (awarded 2024), she developed a high-throughput assay to measure the simultaneous occupancy of multiple proteins on individual DNA molecules in vivo, and deployed it on synthetic genes to test first-principles models of transcription in human cells.
