Nuurrianti Jalli

I am a media and technology scholar specializing in misinformation, AI governance, political communication, and information integrity in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the wider Southeast Asia. My research examines how emerging technologies intersect with misinformation ecosystems, political power, and governance frameworks, with particular attention to state-linked influence operations, AI-generated deception, and platform accountability.

I work across academic and policy communities and regularly engage with multilateral and public-facing institutions to support evidence-based responses to complex information challenges. My work has been featured in international media and global policy discussions.

I am currently Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at the School of Media and Strategic Communications, Oklahoma State University; Visiting Fellow at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute (Singapore); and Research Affiliate at Monash University Indonesia.
