Paolo Pino

Paolo has a background in materials engineering and space systems engineering, with a particular focus on lunar exploration and the development of sustainable infrastructure for the Moon. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and an MBA and has co-authored several technical papers on lunar systems, including research on shared power infrastructure for cooperative lunar activities.

He has led multiple technical teams within the Space Generation Advisory Council and contributed to SGAC’s EAGLE team on lunar governance. His work on sustainable lunar development also includes a contribution to the Lunar Policy Handbook.

In 2020, Paolo co-founded Volta Space Technologies, a company developing power solutions for the in-space economy, where he currently serves as Chief Technology Officer.
