Steven Vetter

Steve Vetter was born with a brain wired for engineering and physics. His father raised him to be an entrepreneur. When other kids were having the lemonade stand just handed to them, Steve’s father had him sell stock, buy his ingredients, and pay wages and salaries. Steve had his first IPO at age seven. He issued shares to the neighbors in the Spring for 10 cents a share and bought them all back in the Fall for eighteen cents per share. Beyond the 80% profit, the main value of this enterprise was the early foundation Steve got in realistic business principles.

Steve spent the Winter months of his early childhood wiring relays into complex logic circuits, including a computer player (now called an AI) that was undefeated in the game of Dots and an electronic lock that a computer security expert was unable to crack.

He got his undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering from UIUC, rounding that out with MBA studies after moving to Minnesota. After 15 years working for computer makers, semiconductor foundries, and 3M, Steve launched a successful career as an entrepreneur and interim CEO, alternating between systems engineering, Biomedical devices, and nanotechnology. He is now applying his rich pedigree to helping companies through fractional and interim CEO positions.
