Fangru Lin

I’m reading for a DPhil degree at University of Oxford with a research focus on Large Language Model planning and reasoning. I’m supervised by Prof Janet Pierrehumbert and Prof Daniel Altshuler. My academic interests are mainly in understanding and improving LLMs in reasoning and planning, by robust derivation and application of logical relations. Industry-wise, I worked as a research intern at Gemini Deep Research team (Google DeepMind, Mountain View), and Microsoft Research. I also worked as a software engineer intern at Microsoft Azure Cloud+AI team.

My non-academic interests are in music and sports! I have level-10 (highest level) piano player certificate. I have also been in many sing comps including Voice of China, and Chinese sing comp (唱响津城) at University of Oxford (will be in more sing comps hopefully!) For sports, I play golf and do yoga.
