The Simple Side of DNA Self-assembly
With Dr. Chengde Mao
In programmed DNA self-assembly, being simple refers to two different aspects: i) Simple structures. Many DNA nanostructures can be assembled from smaller building blocks. Structural symmetry could be used to simplify the building blocks and the overall structures. ii) Simple process. The simple assembly process results in robust assembly and reliable reproducibility. These two aspects often interwind with each other. In my talk, I will discuss our research efforts along this line.
