Summary: Reverse-Engineering the Genomic Causes of Disease by Cosmo: “Of all the datasets in modern biology, genomic data is the only data-type that is provably “causal” for the development of disease. Large genomic association studies give us an extremely narrow list of key genes that are important, and our task now is to determine what they do. In this talk, I will bring together substantial evidence that viral infections are likely a core cause of many diseases of aging”
