This is the artist's interpretation of the vasculocytes designed by Robert Freitas. The basic idea of this concept is the prevention of heart attacks from clogged arteries. Billions and billions of vasculocytes march down the walls of arteries on tiny legs, cleaning up plaque buildup and repairing damaged endothelial cells. Each nanorobot is about 3 microns in size. |
