This is an abstract for a presentation given at the
Ninth Foresight Conference on Molecular Nanotechnology.
There will be a link from here to the full article when it is available on the web.

To develop a low - yield nuclear weapon with an earth - penetrating nose cone that could knock out hardened or deeply buried targets such as leadership bunkers and command centres. Nano size tungsten - silver powder alloy is proposed for the nose cone. The liquid phase sintering of the nano size tungsten and 35% silver powder alloy would have the most optimum properties required for this application. Techniques for manufacture of nano size silver and tungsten powder have been perfected. Samples shall be prepared and tested to demonstrate the feasibility and suitability of the alloy for this application and other armour - piercing weapons.
