Dr. Pearl Chin has extensive experience in strategy and marketing consulting, management consulting, operations, sales and marketing, and customer service, in diverse industries from small to large companies. Dr. Chin specializes in advising on nanotechnology investment opportunities. Prior to joining Foresight Nanotech Institute, she was a management consultant withĀ Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrathĀ with the Chemicals, Engineered Materials and Packaged Goods group optimizing Supply Chain operations. Before that, she was an applications specialist and headed domestic customer support under Sales and Marketing forĀ TA Instruments, Inc.Ā when it was number one in customer support in its industry.
She is a prolific writer on nanotechnology investing, business, management and social issues. Her articles appear inĀ Nanotechnology NowĀ and theĀ Nanotechnology Law and Business Journal. She is actively sought out to speak about and be interviewed on these diverse nanotechnology related topics.
Dr. Chin also has extensive deep tech research expertise as a Guest Scientist with theĀ National Institute of Standards & TechnologyĀ (NIST) Polymer Division’s Electronic Materials Group under the US Department of Commerce.
Dr. Chin has an MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management (JGSM), a Ph.D. in Materials Science from University of Delaware’s Center for Composite Materials, and a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from The Cooper Union in New York City.
Dr. Chin was a former President of Foresight Nanotech Institute and a Project Management Team and Steering Committee member of the ForesightĀ Productive Nanosystems Technology Roadmap. She is also Managing Director ofĀ Seraphima VenturesĀ andĀ Seraphima Consulting. She has also foundedĀ Seraphima Academy, focusing on education in math and science. She is Board Treasurer of Episcopal Relief and Development and she is a native New Yorker, based in downtown Manhattan, New York City.
