Hundreds of inhaled nanorobots rush through a large bronchial junction on their way deeper into the lungs as the patient takes a deep breath. This image is taken from “Vital Space,” an interactive movie exhibit unveiled in Summer 2002 at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History, which takes its audience on a fantastic voyage through the body of a female astronaut ravaged by an alien virus.
