Therapeutic nanorobots capable of detecting and destroying pathogens find a large number of parasite-containing microshells flowing through the patient’s bloodstream, and begin their attack. This image is taken from “Vital Space,” an interactive movie exhibit unveiled in Summer 2002 at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History, which takes its audience on a fantastic voyage through the body of a female astronaut ravaged by an alien virus.
