Ā We are honored to have Jaan Tallinn join to discuss COVID-19 and its opportunities for Global Catastrophic and Existential Risks.Ā
Jaan TallinnĀ is a co-founder of the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk in Cambridge, the Future of Life Institute in Cambridge and a founding engineer of Skype.Ā
A few points we’ll discuss:
1. advocate for countries to establish initiatives addressing major risks like pandemics
2. develop better technical capabilities for global coordination and decision making, e.g. expert networks, prediction markets
3. develop a globally cooperative narrative, e.g. prominent prizes, creative media
