The preliminary program is available for the Annual Foresight Senior Associate Gathering, April 20-22 in Palo Alto: "Exploring the Edges."
You can design your personal pathway through four rounds of discussion, Saturday and Sunday, morning and afternoon, looking successively at:
- How nanotech remakes the physical world
- How infotech combines with nanotech to disrupt existing ways of living and working
- Which ways can our current tools: the law, the market, etc. influence events?
- Which forms of group action will work in a nanotech world? And how can each of us personally survive and prosper through what's coming?
Each session will have four parallel tracks on:
- Beyond scarcity
- Beyond the nation-state
- Beyond the human
- Beyond coercion
Each day will start with some grounding in the basics from Foresight Chairman Eric Drexler. See the preliminary program for more information, or go ahead and register.
P.S. This is the Annual Gathering for this year. Chris Peterson says "This is the only Gathering we're having this year, so call it the Annual Foresight Gathering. We will be having one or two other topical conferences."
