Bio-Nanotechnology the Focus of Upcoming Southern California NanoForumTM Gathering
Region's Top Nanotechnology Business and Networking Seminar Scheduled for 2/26 at UCSD CONNECT
San Diego, Calif., February 12 — "Big Business: Bridging Commercial Applications in BIO-NANOTECHNOLOGY" will be the topic of the February 26 event sponsored by the Southern California NanoForumTM (SCNF), a non-profit industry dedicated to the promotion of nano business networking in Southern California. The group is a subsidiary of nanoSIG, an international non-profit industry organization working toward the commercialization of nanotechnology. The upcoming forum, second in SCNF's ongoing series, will be held from 4-9 p.m. at the UCSD CONNECT offices, 8950 Villa La Jolla Drive, Suite A214.
David Lemberg, producer/host of "BioTech Today" and the upcoming "Inside NanoTech" — http://www.biotechtoday.net — said, "The Southern California NanoForums are an excellent outlet for regional information on nanotechnology." He explained, "We're fortunate in San Diego to have a regional chapter addressing specific nanotechnology commercialization. Also, the founding nanoSIG nonprofit organization makes its expertise available — international networks and business and scientific knowledge — to the local NanoForum chapter representatives."
Attendees will be investors, C-level business representatives, senior technical professionals, entrepreneurs, marketing, policy makers, economic development leaders, technology transfer experts, and more. Speakers for the NanoForum series are invited executives from companies leading the commercialization of nanotechnology.
Petar Stojadinovic, Local Organizer of SCNF and principal of Smart Solutions International found at www.Techiguru.com, said, "We expect the Bio-Nanotechnology topic to be of extreme interest to the San Diego business community and we are putting together a stellar lineup of speakers who will provide a key look at the developments and potential of Bio-nanotech for our region.
Pillsbury Winthrop was the Event Sponsor of NanoForum's first seminar held in late November 2003. Other sponsors include Techiguru, Strategic Synergy, UCSD CONNECT, and BioTech Today.
