TomMcKendree writes "Last month I was invited at the last moment to give a talk at NASA's "Turning Goals Into Reality Conference." This was their (second) annual internal conference, addressing progress in technology research over the last year, and NASA research goals for the future.

A number of people talked to me afterwards. Several other speakers referred back to the talk. In a long discussion with Dr. Bilbro, who is interested in optics, we actually got beyond "nanotechnology is very cool" and "here is what it would mean for your area" down to discussion of what actually has to be done to make molecular manufacturing work. I expect to reprise this talk for the LA Nanotechnology Study Group, but the date is unclear. "
