Summary:
An introduction to Zero Knowledge Machine Learning. In the age of AI we need to have ways of verifying data provenance and truth so that our information supply chains are transparent, trustworthy and non-subvertible by advanced AIs or AGIs. Additionally, blockchains are the best coordination mechanisms that humans have currently and bringing ML and AI onchain is only possible with the use of ZKML and adjacent technologies. In my presentation I will introduce ZKML, its current state of the art, its use cases and the companies and projects building in this very interesting intersection.
Challenge:
Currently the ZKML space needs to create better tooling and foundational technologies in order to be able to have performant and easy to use interfaces and abstractions for non-domain-expert developers to be able to build provable AI/ML applications. There are a lot of challenges when it comes to optimizing the cryptography and computational systems in order for the performance and cost of these systems to be commercially viable or useful in a widespread context.
