Taiwan Nano Tech 2005 – Taiwan's FIRST Int'l Event

[email protected] writes "Applications are now being accepted to exhibit at Taiwan NanoTech 2005 — Taiwan's first ever nano-technology event that will lead the 4th wave across Asia this September 23 to September 25."

This event brings together years of development of nanotechnology by private, institutional, and government. It underscores the integration of nanotechnology, biotechnology and other high tech industry currently underway at scores of nanotech science parks throughout Taiwan and around the world."

More… Big Window on Tiny Nano!
Taiwan Nano Tech 2005 will present the fullest perspective ever offered in Taiwan on this promising industry by featuring the latest commercial products, processes raw materials for micro technology, components, apparatus for design and manufacturing, process equipment and inspection instruments. Many global firms, both the giants and the start-ups will use this venue to present their latest research findings. The organizing committee responsible for international exhibitors – Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), points out that many companies from around the world head to Taiwan for seed capital, develop new projects or launch completed one. This venue will bring together thousands of faces from across the world of nano from software to hardware for R&D and production and presents suppliers from Europe, US, Japan, and Taiwan with unlimited business opportunities.

Nano Tech aims to be 1st

The show is striving with the industry to become Asia's best for producers, buyers and consumers by offering the best in production, markets, and technology. To make it happen government has allocated 700 million US dollars for a six-year program that promotes national nano-tech along with related science and technology projects. This massive effort builds upon Taiwan's glowing track record where it leads global output in many sectors of the biotech and electronics. Productivity of Taiwan's nano-tech industry reached 530 million US dollars in 2004 according the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and that figure is projected to chalk up 250% growth and become 1.3 billion US dollars in 2005.

By 2008, Taiwan expects to be supplying 3% to 4% of the world market with more than 800 companies involved in research and production. By that time it expects the value of annual exports to soar to more than US$ 13 bn. In addition, nanotech-related production between 2005 and 2010 is projected to average 10-times the average output of the previous five year 2000-2005 period.

Great Show! Exciting Events!

Taiwan Nano Tech 2005 is expecting to welcome 150 exhibitors from worldwide to participate altogether 250 booths and present their respective state-of-the-art products; which comprise a complete line-up of professional events that guarantees the best show in the East. On top of this, these events will be held in conjunction with Taiwan International Nanotechnology Symposium and Annual Taiwan Nano Science and Technology Program Conference welcomes leading scholars and industry experts.

In addition, the Industrial Development and Investment Center of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has set nanotechnology as the key theme for this year's The 2005 Taiwan Business Alliance Forum; that will have the participation of more than 400 international companies.

This comprehensive four-in-one global premiere event will cover the Exhibition of Taiwan Nano Tech 2005, Taiwan Business Alliance Forum, Annual Taiwan Nano Science and Technology Program Conference, and the Taiwan International Nanotechnology Symposium. The international publicity campaign for these four events will be united under the title "Taiwan Nano Week 2005". The integrated resources from local industry, the public sector and academic community will foster cluster impact to further contribute to the unlimited potential for international technology collaboration, investment, and trade.

7 Winning Sections "Taiwan Nano Tech 2005" offers the seven winning sectors of nano-materials, nano-applications, overseas exhibitors and pavilions, academic research, institutions, the theme area, media services, and a special convergence area.

The theme section and academic research section are reserved for nanotechnology research and development by local government agencies and academic institutes. The overseas section will be dedicated to nanotechnology research and development by government and major companies from around the world. Nano-materials and nano-applications are reserved for commercialized products based on nanotechnology; equipment, instruments and apparatus for R&D and manufacturing process. The special convergence area will host those diversified nano-technologies which directly influence our daily lives.

In turn these sectors encompass the seven major theme exhibitions of Materials & applications; Electronics & optoelectronics; Bio-technology; Environment & energy; Evaluation & measurement tools; MEMS; Micro-Nano fabrication technology & equipment.

Nano gets global press campaign!

In order attract the most complete list of prospects, TAITRA has organized a series of overseas media campaigns. It will aggressively promote this event through internationally famed media such as Nano Today in UK, Nanotechweb website (www.nanotechweb.org), NSTI website in US, NANOWorld Exhibition Guide, R&D Micro/NANA Newsletter, Small Times, AIST website (http://unit.aist.go.jp/nanotech/) in Japan, and website from Nanotechnology Association in Korea (http://nanokorea.net/eng/).
