November 21st, at 7:00 pm U.S. Central time, Dr. Paul Barbara, the Director of the University of Texas-Austin Center for Nano and Molecular Science and Technology, will give a public lecture on nanotechnology that can be viewed by anyone with an Internet connection.
The Environmental Science Institute at The University of Texas-Austin runs a public lecture series that brings leading researchers in contact with the general public and K12 community. The next lecture on November 21st, at 7:00 pm U.S. Central time will be on Nanoscience and will be given by Dr. Paul Barbara, the Director of the UT Center for Nano and Molecular Science and Technology. The event will take place at Welch Hall 2.224 on The University of Texas campus.

Nanotechnology refers to the ability to manipulate individual atoms and molecules, making it possible to build machines on the scale of human cells or create materials and structures from the bottom up with novel properties. Nanotechnology could change the way almost everything is designed and made, from wrist computers more powerful than any desktop computer available today to vaccines to objects not yet imagined.
