2024 Space Futures & Governance
Recently accelerating progress on space science and technologies has opened up new frontiers and possible governance challenges, as well as opportunities to make our future in space accessible, peaceful, and flourishing.
The 2024 Space Futures & Governance Workshop invites leading space-oriented scientists and technologists, as well as researchers and practitioners focused on governance, law, economics, and related areas to explore emerging opportunities at the intersection of space technology and governance.

- Increasing near-term access to space by lowering the cost to launch
- Initiatives and incentives to reinvigorate our mission to Mars
- Equitable access to space for future generations and emerging space nations
- Emergent or existing catastrophic risks that could compromise human access to space
- Exploring social license and space: the role and future of space civil society
